Celebrating the Small Business win at the 2026 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards.
Lock Jaw Ladder Grip is celebrating a proud milestone: winning the Small Business category at the 2026 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards. We were also recognised as a finalist in Creative, Lifestyle and Design, bringing two achievements together on a memorable night for our Queensland business.
Held on 8 October 2026 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Bank, the awards brought Queensland exporters together to celebrate their success in international markets. For Lock Jaw Ladder Grip, it was an opportunity to reflect on the journey from an Australian invention to a ladder safety product reaching customers overseas.
Our awards-night photographs capture that celebration, from the event backdrop to our certificates and trophy. We are pleased to share these moments with the customers, partners and supporters who have been part of our journey.

The Small Business category recognises outstanding international achievement by businesses with total annual turnover of A$10 million or less. Winning this category is a significant milestone in Lock Jaw Ladder Grip’s export story.
A small business brings together many kinds of work: developing a product, supporting customers, building relationships and finding opportunities in new markets. This award gives us a moment to celebrate that shared effort and the people who help keep our business moving forward.
Our purpose remains practical. Lock Jaw Ladder Grip is designed to help secure a ladder to suitable guttering and reduce movement at that connection. International recognition is especially meaningful when it is connected to a product created to address an everyday problem.
Trade and Investment Queensland lists Lock Jaw Ladder Grip as the 2026 Small Business winner on its official winners page.

Alongside our Small Business win, we are proud to have been a finalist in Creative, Lifestyle and Design. This category celebrates international achievement in creative industries and in products and services that put design at the centre of the customer experience.
For Lock Jaw Ladder Grip, design begins with a real task: securing a ladder at the gutter. The recognition gives us another reason to celebrate the thought and development behind a product built for practical use.
From an Australian Invention to International Recognition
Lock Jaw Ladder Grip was created by Australian father and son Robert and Craig Charlton. Safety and convenience guided their work as they developed a ladder accessory intended to help people access roofs more securely.
That practical focus continues to shape our business. Whether customers are working on a roof or undertaking home maintenance, understanding product compatibility and correct fitting is an important part of using a ladder grip.
Learn more about our story and read our Instructions for Use for fitting and compatibility information. Always follow normal ladder safety procedures when using the product.
Thank You for Being Part of Our Journey
To our customers, distributors, partners and team: thank you for your support. We also thank Trade and Investment Queensland and the awards organisers for recognising our international achievements, and congratulate the other winners and finalists.
As a Queensland winner in a national award category, Lock Jaw Ladder Grip will progress to the Australian Export Awards. We look forward to representing Queensland and continuing to introduce our ladder safety product to international customers.
