Applications

Built for the Demands
of Roofing Work

Whether you're replacing shingles, installing metal roofing, or working maintenance on steep-pitch commercial roofs — your ladder is your lifeline. Lock Jaw keeps it locked on the gutter so you can focus on the work.

01

Residential Roofing

Clamps to standard 4–6 inch gutters on homes and townhouses. Works on aluminum, steel, and copper gutters. Not for use on plastic or vinyl gutters.

02

Commercial Roofing

Ideal for repetitive ladder placements across large flat or low-pitch commercial roofs. Move fast without re-securing the ladder each time.

03

Tile & Metal Roofs

Works on tile roof installations where ladder placement is critical. Reduces fatigue from constantly bracing the ladder with your body.

04

Storm Restoration

When you're up and down the ladder dozens of times on a storm job, Lock Jaw keeps each placement secure — no spotter needed.

Quick-release clamp installs and removes in seconds. No tools. No lost time on the job.

Reduces Fatigue

Stop bracing the ladder with your body weight. Your muscles can focus on the actual work.

Gutter Protection

Rubber-padded clamps prevent scratching or denting metal gutters — protecting your reputation and client's property.

Works on Most Ladders

Compatible with the majority of extension and multi-position ladders used by roofing crews, including telescopic.

Lower Workers' Comp Risk

Demonstrably safer practices lead to fewer incidents, claims, and premium increases.

Compatible gutters
  • Aluminum gutters (K-style & half-round)
  • Steel gutters
  • Copper gutters
  • Standard open gutters
  • Most standard 4"–6" profiles
Not recommended

Common Questions

Roofer FAQs

Will it damage my customer's gutters?
No. Lock Jaw uses rubber-padded clamps on all contact points. It grips firmly without scratching, denting, or distorting aluminum, steel, or copper gutters. Not for use on plastic or vinyl gutters.
What gutter sizes does it fit?
Lock Jaw fits the vast majority of standard residential and commercial gutters — typically 4" to 6" profiles.
Does it work on steep-pitch roofs?
Yes. Lock Jaw was designed specifically for steep-pitch roof work where lateral ladder movement is most dangerous. The clamping mechanism holds firmly regardless of roof pitch angle.
Can I move it quickly between placements?
Absolutely. The quick-release design means you can unclamp, reposition, and re-secure in under 10 seconds — ideal for jobs where you're moving around the perimeter repeatedly.
